This is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm whether someone is in custody, release an inmate, post bond, schedule court, or obtain an official booking record. Those requests must go to the agency that holds the person or created the record.
Where to Ask for Walker County Records
For current county-jail custody questions, start with the Walker County Sheriff's Office and Walker County Jail. The research file did not confirm an official public Walker County online jail roster, so the jail phone line and Sheriff's Office open-records process are the key local access channels.

Use the Sheriff's Office process for sheriff-held criminal reports, booking-related records, photographs, video, 9-1-1 CAD printouts, and voice recordings. The form cites O.C.G.A. 50-18-71, gives the first 15 minutes of research free, lists $0.25 per printed page, and lists a $10 CD fee if used. It says to allow at least three business days for research and five business days for mailing.
Walker County government's records page routes criminal reports to the Sheriff's Office. General county-government documents that are not sheriff criminal reports may go through the county's NextRequest portal.

Use the route that matches the record or custody system involved:
- For a person believed to be in the county jail, use jail inmate records and call the Walker County Jail at (706) 638-1909.
- For booking photographs, start with jail roster mugshots and the Sheriff's Office open-records form.
- For charges and case activity after arrest, use court records after a jail arrest, the Clerk, PeachCourt where applicable, and the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit resources.
- For facility-specific details, use the Walker County Jail and Walker State Prison pages listed in the footer.
- For a sentenced state prisoner, use Georgia Department of Corrections Find an Offender. Georgia.gov notes that county-jail offenders require county resources instead.
- For federal or immigration custody, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator System. No federal or ICE detention facility was verified in Walker County.
